Clubland Friday Night
Resident DJ

Jimmie Page
1AM - 6AM (CT)

Yes his real name is Jimmie Page. Jimmie Page is a musician but not a guitarist. He became immersed in the club culture before he was of an age to participate but pursued it nonetheless. He picked up his first set of turntables at age 15 and subsequently began a journey that now finds him as Chicago's top DJ. He has achieved one of his earliest dreams of "spinning in one of the big nightclubs in Chicago." The hustle landed him his first guest appearance at Shelter nightclub. Since then he has put out a range of CD's and traveled via underground to emerge at huge venues such as Crobar, Transit, Nocturnal, and many others across Chicagoland. The relentless drive earned Jimmie many guest spots with heavyweights like Pure, Carl Cox, Judge Jules, Ian Van Dahl, Amber, Lasgo, Robbie Rivera and the list goes on. You can now see Jimmie live on Friday night as he is a resident DJ of Chicago's largest 8 level megaclub Vision.

Year 2001 Jimmie became a resident DJ of Chicago's No. 1 Dance Radio Station, (WKIE Energy 92.7/5) where he has his own 5hr show called Clubland. He has taken Chicago radio to a new level by having guest DJ's such as Fatboy Slim, Judge Jules as well as Chicago's Finest DJ's. Jimmie has become a very busy DJ, you can hear his mixes being played on a number stations across the U.S. every week. Jimmie has also been a featured DJ on Afterhours TV, a television show dedicated to dance music and the Chicago clubbing community. When you hear him and see him perform, his sets intoxicate his audience and this is admittedly the desired affect: to "move the masses" You can hear his show every Friday night worldwide from 1am to 6am (central) at www.energy92fm.com for more info visit www.jimmiepage.com he will continue the Rapture....

Clubland Saturday Night
Resident DJ's

Rick Hype
9PM - 12Mid. (CT)

Born in Michigan City, Indiana, Rick has lived about 90% of his life here in the Chicagoland area. Currently living in his new house, where he is building his project studio, Rick has always been into music. Having started out working on car audio systems, he noticed all different kinds of music and started dancing to just about anything he heard. From there he was able to go to dance clubs and was eventually picked to be a regular on a local dance show. He bought his first set of turntables, cd players, a sampler and he was off to the world of club mixing. After only 7 months, he was asked to spin at a Naperville’s Zero Gravity where he spun for about 4 years hopping between that company’s clubs in Naperville, Merrillville, and Rockford.

After 4 years of DJ'ing at clubs and running his own DJ service, he made a decision to pursue another level in the music industry. It was the summer of 2000 when he finished his studies in web design & recording/mini studio, where he met his partner in re-mixing Brian White. The two hope to be the next Thunderpuss type music producers. Remixing is one goal that Rick hopes to accomplish some day in the near future. As for the style of music that he plays, well…that is a whole new field. Some people might know Rick for the progressive (techno), others might know him as the disco house DJ, and still others even know him for the hi-energy Euro mixes he did in his early years. Rick likes to consider his style as pure adrenaline music to keep people movin’. His ultimate goal is to have his own dance club where people can hear all kinds of new age dance music. Check him out every weekend on ENERGY’S Clubland Saturday Night or hear him spinning at clubs all over the nation. And if that is still not enough, then you can almost always find him online, on his Website

Andre Solaris
Clubland Underground
2AM - 6AM (CT)

With 16 years of dj’ing experience, Andre Solaris is no newcomer to the club scene. Arriving in Chicago in 1982 from his native Poland, he set out on the music journey in 1985 when he was hooked watching a dj spin at a popular teen nightspot called McGreevy’s. Beginning in 1986 Andre established his first residencies at Chicago’s north side Cardinal Club and then a two year running night at Club Polonaise. What followed were numerous residencies at many other clubs and bars where he spun a variety from House to Techno, Freestyle to Hi Energy, New Beat, and Trance. A regular clubber at places such as Shelter, and Medusa’s he experienced the evolution of Chicago’s early underground scene.

Establishing his own mobile dj enterprise called Music Non Stop Entertainment, in early to mid 90s, put a short break on club work as he was hired to play at hundreds of private events including massive college and university events for very diverse crowds. In 1998, Andre Solaris assumes his stage name and sets up a promotion group under the name FUEL behind which underground dance events are being organized. Places such as Aura, Voyeur, Liquid, Elixir, Spy Bar, Plush, Fuse, Glow, Zentra , Corosh , and Cafe Lura host parties that attract large crowds. Having experienced the vibe of London’s world renown superclubs such as Heaven, Ministry Of Sound, Fabric, and The End provides an added bust of creativity to bring a similar vibe in the Windy City regardless of the party’s size. These events are professionally produced with full color flyers, huge clean sound systems, and mind twisting visuals. One of the longest running single-theme nights is “Departures” which begins at Café Lura and moves around the city’s venues. Andre also appears at other clubs such as Fifth Floor, Voo Doo, Rive Gauche, Redno 5, Transit, and Vision. He is also in demand by other promoters in the Chicago club circuit. He has been handed the task of opening the nights for the likes of Danny Howells, Jody Wisternoff, Meat Katie, Parks & Wilson, Sander Kleinenberg and others.

Clubland Underground’s resident dj since the beginning of the mix-show in March of 2001, Andre Solaris feeds the airwaves with Deep UK Prog House, Deep Dark Trance, Breaks, and Techno. The 4 hour show is intended to bring the current world underground dance music to Chicago’s listeners. Sounds from the most extravagant Ibiza clubs to the most deeply dug-in hideouts of America and Europe’s underground venues. In his live sets, while having deep dark, tribal feel he often takes his listeners into a more atmospheric territory. No matter what the setting is, Andre Solaris applies his years of dancefloor experience to lead the crowd on a journey that reflects his style while appealing to the current tastes. Constantly reading the crowd he tailors his mix in real-time. His record box has always more records than the allotted time slot requires. The mix is assembled on the spot. There are no pre-sets. The sets are characterized by well tailored "key mixes" and use of outboard effects. He approaches his craft with care and understanding of dance floor tactics and his work ethic reflects his devotion to the art his loves best.He has released a number of mix CD's that are being sold in Chicago's DJ shops and can be found under the following titles : "Hear I am", "Millennium -The End, "Millennium -The Beginning", "Round Trip", "Hard Candy", "Connect", "Nightshift", "Nightshift-Phase Two", "Departures", "Joyride", "Motivum", "Running Late", "Move", and “Forward”.

He has also produced a number of radio commercials and is currently working on original production and remixing efforts. His interests besides spinning music are in digital sound editing and mastering, video and computer animation, nightclub sound and lighting design. Visit Andre at www.fuelinfo.com.
