Beth, where do we begin?! Born and raised in Aurora IL, she’s always been a fan of the Windy City. Right out of college Beth was going to join the circus, but somehow fell into radio. Thank God she did because Carnies can be a scary thing! Her radio career began in Champaign IL, with WLRW and then migrated to Peoria IL, where she moved through several stations. Looking to fill her dream of DJing in Chicago, she held Energy’s PD hostage until he caved and gave her an airshift. Seriously though, Energy sought Beth out and added her to our team, making her Energy’s only full-time female DJ. We think we picked a winner, don’t you?? Beth plans to continue Djing and would like to move into an MD or APD position. Until then, if you need some Energy, check out Beth middays Mon.-Fri. You might even win Energy goodies on her “Retro Lunch Hour”. Or you might catch her moonlighting at the Carnival with her friends Bearded Lady & Cujo!

Bill is the "Ultimate Music Nut" and enjoys listening to everything by everybody. This probably stems from his long musical background. He has spent a lot of time in recording studios, both recording and producing major label releases. At the age of 16, Bill began as a DJ after graduating from his high school in Phoenix. Bill's most memorable experience in music or broadcasting was when he was on "Tops of the Pops" in England with Bette Midler and Cher while performing his Top 5 hit. Take a break in the afternoon and tune in each day from 1-3pm.

Energy 92.7 and 5 afternoon jock, Joe Smith has led a career of achievement. He’s held highly coveted positions in Chicagolands best fast food restaurants. Initially Burger King, then McDonald’s, Joe developed his on air delivery by taking orders at the drive thru.
A solid D student at Naperville Central High School, Joe went on to attend Hamburger University. He then took advantage of Columbia College’s “We’ll Take Anyone” open admissions policy. His fiancé Stacey had a similar admissions policy when considering Joe for the position of boyfriend. Later, Energy 92.7 and 5 Program Director, Chris Shebel’s open admissions policy further advanced Joe’s career.
Listen to Joe every weekday afternoon from 3 – 7. Don’t forget to vote for the Fore Play At 4! Call 312-591-9275 or toll free at 866-591-9275.

Maxine Nightingale said it best in 1976 – "we gotta get right back to where we started from." In December 1998, Jeffro made his Chicago radio debut as the first evening DJ on "92.7 Kiss-FM." Now, he’s come full circle, returning to 92.7 & 5, and the position he created 4 years ago! Of course, there were a few stops in between…like programming "The 80’s Channel 103.1 WXXY," and his 15 minute whirlwind journey through "94.7 The Zone."
Jeffrey Tyler Mason first saw the light of day in New York City, 1975. At 13, his family moved to Reading, PA (just NW of Philly), where 2 years later, Jeffrey would begin his so-called "career in broadcasting!" This career has taken him around the US, including Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Atlantic City, Harrisburg PA, Roanoke VA, Greenville SC & Philadelphia – where in the mid 90’s, he spent 2 years at Q102 playing many of the dance hits you hear on Energy! We must warn you - 24 radio stations has taken it’s toll on Jeffro’s sanity…so look out. You never know what he’s gonna say next!

LUIS "2-Live" LOPEZ was born and raised on the North side of Chicago. Ever since the age of five, it was evident that he would be involved in the entertainment business in some way, shape or form. Whether it was performing skits in the basement, for everyone in the neighborhood, or listening to radio stations trying to imitate the disc jockeys, he was fascinated with the thought of being a performer. As he got older, Luis was introduced to a whole new level of entertainment. The meaning of performer would take a twist. We are talking about the DJ. This combined the 2 things he loves most, performing and music. At the age of 13, Luis bought some cheap turntables and started working on beat mixing and scratching. From that point on he started buying records and finally got 1200s at the age of 15.
Luis primarily played old school House up until the late 80's. When techno came around, he started mixing Hip Hop, which eventually landed him a spot doing weekly mixes on a local college radio station. Eventually he ended up attending the college, which opened the doors for Luis to actually get involved in the radio aspect of things. He started doing on-air shifts and finally moved up to music director and handling the weekly dance mix show every Friday night on WCRX 88.1FM. After graduating, Luis continued to do the mix show for two more years. "The Masters In The Mix" is currently the longest running mix show in Chicago, which has been on the air for over 18 years. It now goes by the name as "True Underground".
Luis is currently an on-air jock from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM overnights working at Energy 92.7 FM in Chicago. Aside from his radio career, Luis is also getting some music production underway as well.
